Farao back with new single "Dreamy Ride" April 10th
Farao is back with new single "Dreamy Ride"! The track blends an intricate R&B beat with percussive zither, smooth DX7 synth, and vocal harmonies into a sexy mix that sounds like a fusion of Janet Jackson and Dorothy Ashby. Best heard in a convertible on a cool spring evening.

«I wrote this track when I had an intense need to show the way forward for someone I cared deeply about, who just couldn’t see it themselves. I wanted to steer in the right direction, so if you ride with me in my 1999 Saab 9-3 I promise a silky smooth journey.»

"Dreamy Ride" is released by the Western Vinyl in the U.S., marvaða in Europe, and Jahnsen’s own label Street Pulse in Norway.

Jahnsen's work defies categorization and commodification at every turn. It's not in the least bit easy to create music that sounds truly like you and nobody else, but Jahnsen manages to do so.

Farao evokes amorphous feelings in architectural blurs of sound.
On Pure-O, Farao's synthpop stands alone. Kari Jahnsen’s second album as Farao is an accomplished, glittering synth-drenched mood piece.
Jahnsen fills this track with surprising and often ephemeral details that round it into something both delicate and robust
